How it works? more detail
Every Thursday a new menu for the following weeks delivery is emailed to customers.
Customers email/fax/text back their order and the ordering and cooking of the meals is completed around the number of orders received.
The scale of production is small and this is essential to maintain the quality of the meals.
Consistent with the creation of the meals from fresh local produce, a menu is offered each week of a few dishes only of home-style bespoke meals.
Examples are:
- Slow cooked spiced lamb with chilli, coriander and prunes.
- Indonesia’s favourite aromatic Beef Rendang.
- Thai chicken noodle balls – a family favourite.
- Tender chicken ragout, tomato base with chickpea and topped with pan-grilled chorizo.
- Vegetarian dishes including: Gently spiced pumpkin curry with pulses.
- A soul satisfying white bean soup, with chunks of intensely flavoured carrots and cabbage that make you rethink humble vegetables.
The menu rotates over a cycle of 8 weeks or so with the introduction of new dishes and seasonal dishes such as hearty soups and delicious seasonal salads.
- Cooking day is every Monday and completed by Tuesday morning,
- deliveries take place Tuesday afternoon via a vehicle with refrigeration facilities.
Meals can be kept in the fridge for up to 7 days and all meals freeze well.
