mulligatawny
a vegetarian version of this semi-indian smooth spicy soup. It originated as traders such as the Dutch, French, Portuguese and English traveled to the far East from Europe in the 18th century. This recipe includes the custom of finishing the soup with cooked rice and diced apples which is an old Anglo-Indian one. I suggest you add a dollop of cream or greek yoghurt to finish as well to give a silky finish.
Tabouli
A blend of middle eastern flavours. Add grilled meat and top with hummus.
